NOSTALGIA CORNER

SOME OF OUR STAFF’S FAVORITE SUMMERTIME MEMORIES

Hillary: That excited carefree feeling of walking/skipping home from school on the last day, singing “Schools Out for Summer!” Rachel: That first day of summer camp — reuniting with old friends and eager to make new friends and new camp memories! Barb: Whenever I smell freshly cut grass, it takes me back to my brother and me playing on our swing set in the backyard while my dad mowed the yard. Stephanie: My mom always took me to go see fireworks on the Fourth of July, and it was a very special time for me. Most years, we went to Mansfield Lahm Airport. The Air Force planes would be on display, and some years, we even got to go inside one. The grand finale of the fireworks show was always the best as people clapped and cheered for a great show!

Carrie: Getting to spend a week with my grandparents on the farm. John: Fishing on Lake Erie with my dad, uncle, and brother! Theresa: Playing softball on a traveling team all summer.

I was the catcher, and we got to travel to new places every weekend!

Melanie: Playing outside with the neighborhood kids every day (unless it was raining)!
