There are several hotels in the area, however couples may also consider a stay at Terra Stay Farm or Burke Manor Inn . For those who really want to be close to nature, there are four campgrounds and one RV park. Day 1: The Haw River is a water lover’s paradise. 14 paddle accesses offer access to the entire length of the river through Alamance County. Visitors can download a map at www.thehaw.org to see details of all access points (skill levels, distances, etc.). For those who want to rent canoes or kayaks or get a guided tour, Haw River Canoe and Kayak can help. After your tour of the river, try a different Haw River tour: Haw River Farmhouse Ales. The brewery prides itself on its Belgian-style brews, made with local and native ingredients. Day 2: You’ve explored the Haw by water, now see it by land. The Haw River Land Trail is part of North Carolina’s Mountains-to-Sea Trail. More than 20 miles of the Haw River Land Trail are open to the public in Alamance County. The trail offers several options to hike, walk, picnic and fish along the river.
