Her creativity, vision and un- derstanding of the marketplace have ensured the Larken Living portfolio consistently stands at 95% occupancy and new com- munities are often fully leased up before their completion. Susan Livingstone received the Leasing Consultant of the Year award as a result of her achievements in leasing, on-site training and property manage- ment across Larken Associates’ multifamily portfolio. In 2022, Livingstone oversaw leasing for Larken Associates’ newest com- munities, Hillsborough Village Center, The Reserve at Cross- wicks and The Ridge at Read- ington, where she helped lease 314 total units. Working closely with Nascimento, Livingstone’s creativity and embrace of the latest technologies continues to make her one of the state’s top leasing consultants and an important contributor on the Larken Living team. The company also received five awards for Hillsborough Village Center including Best Community Sales Presenta- tion, Best Direct Mail Piece - New Media/Electronic, Best Builder Website for a Commu- nity, Best Builder Sales Office and Best Builder Signage for a Community. Heather Irwin joined Larken Associates in 2022 as a leas- ing consultant and quickly established herself as an in- valuable contributor in her role overseeing leasing at The Meadows at Lehigh and East Hills Townhomes. Irwin’s suc- cess is driven by over 17 years of experience in the property stock ownership plan (ESOP), among others. Dr. J. joined Providence Engineering in 2022 after a seventeen-year career with a large regional building contrac- tor. Additionally, Dougherty is a former adjunct professor at Virginia Tech and taught for several years in the department of architectural engineering at The Pennsylvania State Uni- versity, University Park. Dr. J. brings nearly 25 years of academic and industry ex- perience to his role. He earned his Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from The PA State University and continued his
management industry high- lighted by her work as an As- sistant Community Manager at OneWall Communities. In her new role, Irwin will report directly to regional property manager, Brenda Vittiglio , and will oversee the daily operations of Larken Associates’ Water’s Edge, West End Village and River Walk communities in Bethlehem, PA. As a property manager, Irwin will be responsible for managing new leases and renewals, coordinating on- site maintenance teams and vendors and ensuring resi- dent satisfaction through the completion of work orders. “It’s not often that an em- ployee earns a promotion with- in their first year at a compa - ny,” said Jessica Heckman , Larken Associates’ director of Residential Asset Manage- ment. “Heather’s proven ex- perience in the property man- agement industry and clear understanding of our processes made her a terrific fit to seam - lessly transition into a property management role. We wish her luck as she continues to make an impact on our communities and the residents that call them home.” Irwin added, “From my first day at Larken Associates, their passion for creating an un- matched residential experi- ence was clear. He is a champion of students and lifelong learning, as evi- denced by his service to various universities and the architec- ture, engineering, and construc- tion industry. As an alumni leader, Dougherty is an emeri- tus member of the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Campus Advisory Board, current President for the Penn State Engineering Alumni Society (PSEAS) and found- ing Board Member and former President of the Penn State Alumni Society of Architectural Engineers (ASAE). PATERSON, NJ — Blue Onyx , and Paterson Music Project (PMP), a program of Wharton Arts that provides tuition-free afterschool music program for Paterson stu- dents, recently held a Com- munity Music Festival to raise money for Turkey-Syria Earthquake relief and to sup- port PMP’s ongoing music edu- cation programs for residents. Hundreds of residents, members of prominent lo- cal community organizations and city officials were in at - tendance, including Mayor Andre Sayegh and president of the Greater Paterson Chamber of Commerce Orlando Cruz .
