5th Annual Cruzin’ for PAWoundedWarriors When: Saturday, Sept. 7; Registration from 8–10 a.m. Race at 11 a.m. Where: 1661 North River Road, Halifax, PA Admission: $15 (no preregistration) Keystone Garage Club, known for its 26 years of“hot-rodding,”is hosting its fifth cruise for WoundedWarriors here in our great state of Pennsylvania. The cruise starts in Halifax, and then all drivers/riders will proceed through Millersburg, Elizabethville, Loyalton, Lykens, Wicomico, Williamstown, Tower City, and Valley View before ending at Hegins Park in Hegins, PA. Once there, you can enjoy live music performed by Jerry’s Attic while sampling food from various vendors. There’s no need to preregister; just bring your car, truck, or motorcycle to the starting spot and ready yourself for a fun and important cause! 2019 Mopar Express Lane NHRA Nationals Presented by Pennzoil When: Friday–Sunday, Sept. 13–14; 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Where: Maple Grove Raceway Admission: Ticket prices vary according to age ($0–$50) The national hot rod racing season is upon us, and the 15th annual NHRA Nationals, the step right before the final championship race, is being held at Mopar Express Lane, just over an hour away from Cumberland Valley. Grove Raceway has a long history of record performances, and following the big race, fans will have the opportunity to visit with their favorite drivers, watch how the skilled mechanics service the hot rod between rounds, and even get an autograph you can take home! 2019 Celtic Craic Music Fest When: Saturday, Sept. 21; 12–10 p.m. Where: Mechanicsburg Club Picnic Grounds Admission: $0–$10
Come on down to the Mechanicsburg Club Picnic Grounds and enjoy an entire day of magical Celtic music! To keep your attention and your dancing shoes busy, there will be three separate stages with 11 bands ready to play their best. Bagpipers and Irish and Scottish dancers will also
be there! And when you need a break, you can sample some delicious Irish food and libations. There will even be fun-filled activities for the kids!
After nightfall, you’ll enjoy the flames of the Campfire Ceilidh around a bonfire where any acoustic musician can join some of the bands playing in the fest that day to participate in a laid-back Irish session. It’s an event here in town you won’t want to miss!
