With the Epiphone Explorer Ebony from the Inspired by Gibson Collection, Epiphone is launching a new edition of the "Modernistic Guitar" first presented in 1958, whose aggressive styling has become an icon of the rock and metal scene. While the construction with a mahogany body and glued mahogany neck promises a powerful sound, the slim "Slim Taper C" profile ensures optimal playing conditions over all 22 frets of the Indian Laurel fingerboard. In terms of sound, an Epiphone ProBucker-2 on the neck and an Epiphone ProBucker-3 on the bridge also provide classic overdrive and distortion sounds of rock and metal, which, with broadly set up mids, assert themselves powerfully and defined in the band mix. An Epiphone LockTone bridge with a classic LockTone stopbar and Grover Mini tuners complete the Epiphone Explorer Ebony.
