INTRODUCTION
The John Innes Centre is seeking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to play a key role in the phased delivery of the Next Generation Infrastructure project, which is part of a larger programme of change on the Norwich Research Park. The realisation of the Next Generation Infrastructure project will see the creation of the largest net zero carbon laboratory in the UK for the John Innes Centre (JIC) and The Sainsbury Laboratory (TSL), in conjunction with the UK Research and Innovation and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC). New research and office buildings will sit alongside state-of-the-art horticulture facilities, technology platforms and glasshouses, accommodating two institutes, the JIC and The Sainsbury Laboratory (TSL). Bringing these world-leading organisations together under one roof, accommodating increased staff numbers and their specialist research needs, to create a UK hub for plant and microbial science to address pressing global challenges. The Senior Project Manager will work as part of a team responsible for the delivery of construction project workstream and will lead various aspects of the design, construction and commissioning stages of the project.
