UPM Raflatac Opens Toronto Distribution Terminal

UPM Raflatac has opened its new distribution terminal lo- cated in Ajax, Ontario, part of the Greater Toronto Area. This 30,000-square-foot facility extends service to Eastern Canadian customers and complements an existing net- work of three factories and two other terminals that collec- tively service North America-based customers. The facility began its initial customer shipments on Oc- tober 2, with production ramping up through the end of 2024. In addition to the North American production network, UPM Raflatac operates terminals and offices in Santiago, Chile; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Mexico City, Mexico; and Guadalajara, Mexico, to service customers in Central and South America.

Subers has transitioned from over- seeing the Expo and events into the position of Chief Innovation Officer at the Alliance, and Chris Curran has assumed the role of Group President, Media and Events, and will now over- see PRINTING United Expo, which just wrapped in September in Las Vegas. In these new roles, Subers and Cur- Subers previously served as Pres- ident, Events and Exhibition at the Alliance, amongst other roles within the media brand division, and is step- ping into the role of CIO. In this role, he will focus on long-term strategies that align with the Alliance’s mission to stay at the forefront of industry trans- formation.
