Artist: Simon Jones Simon Jones was born in Grimsby, England. Once the second largest fishing port of its kind in the world, Grimsby sits directly on the North East coast fringed by what is known as ‘The Lincolnshire Wolds’. He studied Fine Art on a Foundation Course at Grimsby Art College back in the late 70’s and went on to study at Degree Level at Kingston Polytechnic London and later at Hull University gaining a BA Hons Degree in Fine Art. He has lived and worked in Lincolnshire most of his life and feels a close connection with its unique landscape. Statement: Painting of 2 trees at sunset.
