Pinotage is just short of celebrating 100 years, not only because of the impact of three men, namely the man who created it (Abraham Perold), the man who grafted it (CJ Theron) and the man who helped bring it to the world stage (Beyers Truter), but also because of the resilience of our South African wine industry. The increasing number of informed wine consumers. The tenacity of our world class winemakers and viticulturalists who are in sync with their terroir and understand the fundamentals of making exceptional Pinotage wines.
