Kennedy succeeds McGuinness as CEO NAIOP NJ honors industry leaders and transactions

family’s involvement in SIOR was championed further by Connor’s uncle, Gary Wil- son , who became a member of the organization in 1993, was president of the West- ern Pennsylvania chapter in 1996 and 2004 and has had a decorated career as a broker and developer. Believed to be one of the youngest in the organization’s history to hold the regional director position, Connor (30) views this election as an honor and an enhancement to his family’s legacy. “The SIOR designation rep- resents the epitome of excel- lence in the world of office and industrial real estate and securing it has been a goal of mine since I began working in CRE brokerage in 2015. Previously, Janney served as a senior property manager for Greystar, where he over- saw a portfolio of 1,800 units and successfully leased-up multiple properties within his portfolio while achieving 92% occupancy or higher across all properties he managed. “As we expand our south- eastern multifamily portfolio, it’s critical that we continue to build a property manage- ment team that can cultivate an unmatched residential ex- perience across our portfolio,” said Greg Brown , COO of Denholtz Properties. “Derek’s considerable experience in the Southeast and proven expertise in implementing strategies that drive immedi- ate results will be essential as we grow.” Janney added, “Throughout my career, I’ve taken great

Baltimore, Delaware and Northern Virginia Connor’s involvement with SIOR marks a continuation of his family’s ties to the organization which now ex- tends over four generations. Connor’s great-grandfather, C harles R. Wilson , became a member of the Society of Industrial Realtors in 1962 (“Office” practitioners were welcomed in 1986 resulting in the enhancement of the desig- nation from SIR to SIOR) and was the Western Pennsylva- nia Chapter VP in 1971.
