E very student starts off the weekend with the same “I just want to get my music back attitude” and then it happens. Ric Garland teaches the first lesson and the conviction kicks in. The thought changes to “God’s not taking center stage...I am”, and the desire is no longer to conform to the trend. The focus is now to use God’s Word to guide us as to how we view things like dating. At the end of the weekend we are left with a challenge to allow God’s Word to be the standard as to how we live our lives. We leave with an overwhelming desire to surrender...the desire to surrender our relationships, our ears, our eyes and every aspect of what defines us, under God’s Divine direction.
