Personally, God used this Missions Reality trip to transform my thinking in many areas. Each day seemed to come with a new challenge from the Lord. Altogether, I would describe Missions Reality as a life changing experience, but don’t just listen to me, here’s what the students have said... “The people on the trip really took the Proverbs 27:17 passage to heart, and made tne trip one of the biggest learning experiences of either of my years at the BI. I came back to the U.S. a changed person, and look for ward to many more mission trips!” - D. C. “On the trip, the Lord really taught me the importance of the Gospel being the cause of not just evangelism, but everything we do.” - E. O. Es solo por Jesus que vivo yo! - It’s all because of Jesus I’m alive! That is tne message our team shared ev erywhere we went in the Dominican Republic. From Haitian villages to local churches and even in public schools, the Gospel of Jesus Christ was shared! Most of us were not able to talk with the people in their own language, but praise God, He has given us so many more ways than just speech to communicate love! In a local Haitian Village, we had the opportunity to hand out bundles of food to 65 very needy families! It was such a blessing to be able to tell them about the love of Christ ana then give them a taste of what that love looks like. In multiple cities, we were able to bring the fun of camp right to public school students through Super Matches where we would sing, play games and share the Gospel. One of the most exciting opportunities we had was to work with the Word of Life missionaries on the new property, helping them prepare for camp! It was hard work, but having the chance to encourage them was more than worth the effort! “One of the biggest things I learned was that God is always at work, whether you see Him or not, and it’s not up to me to judge the success, but just to do.” - A.
