Word of Life Bible Institute Yearbook 2012

In the city of Bernal we stayed at the beautiful Word of Life Property. Once there we spent time charing about Christ in a detenion center, childrenn's home, a prison, an orphanage, public school, and shopping plaza. I was so amazed at how quickly our team bonded and worked. The second day we headed to Mexico City to help out with a Word of Life Teens Involved event that they put on there. For me it was something I was used to because I had grown up performing in Teens Involved. The one thing I wasn't used to was not being able to understand the things they were saying. You could tell they had the same passion as us but just in a different language. On the third night we were ready for Open Air Evan gelism. Within 3 hours we had passed out over 3,)000 tracts and got to share in 3 different locations through out Mexico City. 1was so impressed at how open the peopl were to the Gospel. They would stop and talk or if they couldn't stop they took a tract so they could read it. The kids that we met at Sunday School and gotten to know came and helped translate for us. It was an amaz ing time. On the fifth day we helped out at the missionary school that's on the campus there. We mixed up the Mexican and the gringos so it was semi fair but in the end my team lost. However I wouldn't trade the time and the fun there for a win. I had a blast. It was bittersweet to leae but I was glad to be a part of it. God wowed me and opened my eyes to how powerful the gospel really is. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything.
