You know your cough is bad when a homeless man interrupts you twenty minutes into conversation to suggest tea with honey and lemon when you get home. How can you sit by and simply watch a culture with no hope—the young post-modernist, sixty-year-old Catholic convinced that he’s finding favor with God through his works, the six year old girls giggling to each other as they sit on the subway but destined for an empty adulthood, lacking the purpose and contentment that only Christ brings?
