Michael Turkington joins MacBlair Plumbing as Business Development Manager.
MACBLAIR ENHANCES PLUMBING AND HEATING DIVISION WITH APPOINTMENT OF NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER… MacBlair Plumbing means business with new appointment
M acBlair Plumbing has the appointment of Business Development Manager, Michael Turkington, a highly experienced plumbing and heating merchant professional with almost 40 years’ experience in the sector. Michael’s technical knowledge makes him your first phone call for all things plumbing and heating. He will be overseeing the development and expansion of the business, enhancing efficiency and professional service to support strengthened its plumbing and heating division with MacBlair’s ambition to become one of the leading plumbing and heating suppliers both north and south of Ireland. Michael’s working experience spans both the building and plumbing and heating sectors. He started his career in the concrete
department of Aerocrete on the Shore Road in 1984 before moving in to the plumbing department, finishing his time there in the pricing office. After Aerocrete, Michael joined Beggs & Partners’ starting in their pricing department, before moving to showroom sales. Following that he went out on the road as their sales representative, where he stayed for 26 years before joining MacBlair in July this year. Commenting on his new appointment, Michael said, “MacBlair has been a leading player in the building trade for almost 50 years now and is a company I have the utmost respect for. I am looking forward to being able to make a positive impact on this innovative business by harnessing my experience and product knowledge along with my wide
customer base in the plumbing and building sectors.” Outside of work, Michael is a keen sportsman regularly playing badminton, football, cricket and golf. He also travels Ireland supporting his two children’s badminton passions; both play at Ulster and Ireland level.
