Dr. Iglhaut started his career in the field Oral Surgery 40 years ago and is further specialist in Periodontology (EDA) and Oral Implantology (DGI). He focused early in innovative flap management and soft tissue management around teeth and implants. In the beginning of the 1990s he was a pioneer in microsurgical based periodontal surgery supported by microscope and 3D technology. He focuses on the scientific topics of soft and hard tissue biomaterials and immunological aspects of soft and hard tissue around teeth and implants at the University Hospital Freiburg, Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery/Plastic Surgery. He lectures nationally and internationally in the field of periodontology, periodontal plastic surgery and oral implantology.
