when ye see these things come to pass, know ye th a t th e kingdom of God is nigh a t hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation ( “ genea,” race of men fej-i. e., th e Jews) shall not pass away till all be fulfilled” (Luke 21:29-32). . During th e la st fifteen years of th e nine teenth century, more Jews went back to P alestine th an had gone back in the previous fifteen hund red years! And still, increasingly, they go. 12. Missionary evangelism. ^ “This Gospel of th e kingdom shall be preached in all th e world, fo r a w itness unto all nations, and then shall the end come” (Matthew 2 4 :1 4 ). Our Saviour proph esied th e rise of false prophets, the lukewarmness of the Church, and the evangelization of th e nations as taking place ju st before His second coming (Matthew 24 :11 -14 ); and, incongruous as these things seem to be, yet all these th ree things are occurring a t th e present hour as never before in this dispensation. “This, I say, breth ren— the tim e is sho rt.”— G. Their intim ate relations may not be so easily seen as in th e case of the beasts, bu t one is as really Babylon as the other. this title, Mr. D. Tre- i, an English prophetic nt, gives some very sig- n t thoughts:

We find two beasts described in Rev elation 13:1 and 2. We learn in this chapter th a t, although quite distinct, they are intim ately associated, and work harmoniously to one purpose: a com bine of th e imperial and the religious heads: of the m aterial and spiritual. We have also in th e Revelation two Babylons. One is described in Revela tion 17, and th e other in 18. Most ex positors are agreed th a t one represents
