AT THE HEART OF CREAGH’S OPERATIONS IS ITS EXPANSIVE TOOMEBRIDGE MANUFACTURING HQ, A HUB OF PRECISION ENGINEERING AND LOGISTICAL EXPERTISE… Creagh Concrete: Northern Ireland’s homegrown construction powerhouse
In an era when local manufacturing is more important than ever, Creagh stands as one of Northern Ireland’s strongest industrial success stories. From its headquarters in Toomebridge, the company has built a reputation for innovation and a deep-rooted commitment to quality, community and the future of construction across the UK and Ireland. At the heart of Creagh’s operations is its expansive Toomebridge manufacturing HQ, a hub of precision engineering and logistical expertise. Here, a diverse range of products is produced to support residential, commercial, agricultural and infrastructure projects. From robust grey precast walls to expertly crafted stairs and landings, from bespoke architectural elements to small precast components ideal for modern homes, Creagh’s output demonstrates both scale and versatility. The facility also manufactures Spantherm®, the company’s signature rapid-build insulated flooring system – alongside blocks, wall panels, agricultural solutions and premix products. Another signature product, Rapidres®, a bespoke offsite concrete build system,
includes full precast frames, sandwich panels, lift and stair cores and hollowcore floors. Rapidres® produces the robust quality of traditional style construction, at the speed of a modular build for significant programme savings, opening a whole world of construction possibilities not achievable with traditional build. The breadth of manufacturing capability under one roof showcases a business built on adaptability and forward thinking. With construction complete on a new 4,000sqm factory, the company continues to push forward with expansion and growth as outlined in its 2030 vision. Creagh’s impact, however, extends far beyond Toomebridge. The company’s network of quarries plays a vital role in ensuring material quality and supply- chain resilience. Brackagh Quarry in Draperstown and the Magheraglass site in Cookstown provide essential raw materials that underpin Creagh’s manufacturing excellence. These quarries not only secure high-grade aggregates but also reinforce the company’s long- term independence and sustainability within a competitive market. Creagh’s production infrastructure also includes the UK’s largest hollowcore
manufacturing facility, located in Ardboe, Co Tyrone. This facility is a testament to Creagh’s ambition and industry leadership. Its scale allows the company to deliver hollowcore flooring solutions to major projects across the region including the new Strule shared education campus with unmatched efficiency. It also reflects the company’s long-term investment in advanced technology and streamlined production methods, giving Creagh both capacity and the capability to meet the evolving demands of modern construction. The Ardboe facility has upgraded its manufacturing by purchasing new Evo 2 extruders from Nordimpianti®. What truly sets Creagh Concrete apart is its unwavering identity: proudly local and proudly innovative. Its products shape homes, farms, factories, schools, hospitals and infrastructure every single day. Its workforce draws from the surrounding communities, ensuring that expertise stays within the region. And its continued growth demonstrates that world-class construction solutions can, and do, originate right here in Northern Ireland.
