DESIGN ID PRINCIPAL SHORTLISTED FOR YOUNG WOMAN ENGINEER OF THE YEAR
Amy Dillon, Principal Engineer at Design ID and a member of the firm’s Leadership Team, has been shortlisted for the Institution of Engineering and Technology Young Woman Engineer of the Year Awards 2025. Based in Lisburn and originally from Sunderland, Amy combines technical leadership with a strong focus on business improvement and social impact. She has worked on multi-million-pound infrastructure projects while also leading Design ID’s Health and Safety strategy and championing wellbeing, communication and inclusive leadership across the company. Alongside her engineering work, Amy heads Design ID’s social value programme, mentors early-career engineers and delivers training focused on mental health, resilience and effective communication. Amy is the founder and director of The Big Bridge, a not-for-profit initiative that brings a 13-metre-long buildable bridge kit to schools and community events across Northern Ireland and Ireland. Since launching, the project has reached more than 2,500 young people, with a deliberate focus on engaging girls and those from less advantaged backgrounds. www.designid.co.uk

HENRY BROTHERS APPOINTS MD FOR NORTHERN IRELAND & SCOTLAND
Leading construction firm Henry Brothers has appointed Jody Wilkinson as managing director for Northern Ireland and Scotland. The appointment marks a period of sustained growth for the contractor, underpinned by projects such as the £40m Queen’s-led Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Centre and a new £13.5m Driver and Vehicle Test Centre in Mallusk. Jody, a fellow of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Association of Project Managers, brings over 20 years of experience in managing large international teams, delivering complex infrastructure
initiatives and developing project and cost management capabilities. GRAHAM INTERIOR FIT-OUT APPOINTS SEAN MCNIFF AS MD
GRAHAM’s Interior Fit-Out division has appointed Sean McNiff as its new managing director. Sean steps into the role after serving as operations director, where he supported the division’s growth and helped strengthen delivery across major projects. Sean joined GRAHAM in April 2019 as a design manager, bringing more than 15 years of experience in architecture and project delivery. Over the past six years, he has progressed through senior leadership roles, contributing to the development of the division’s operations and client project delivery.
