STAINLESS-STEEL DOOR BARRIERS Internal and external stainless-steel door barriers were supplied to ABC Health & Leisure Trust by Bollards Plus. Established in Northern Ireland in 2022, Bollards Plus supplies a range of competitively-priced bollards, crash barriers and pedestrian guard rails, available with bespoke finishes. Bollards Plus was pleased to receive the commission, and the installation proceeded to plan without any issues. Neil McConville, owner, says, “As a young company, we are always keen to get a foot in the door with large companies and show them what we are capable of. Although bollards are our core business, the ‘plus’ in Bollards Plus highlights the many other products and services provided, and we are always willing to create bespoke solutions for customers. “It was a pleasure to work with the main contractor Connolly & Fee Ltd on this project, and we would like to thank them for the opportunity, in particular, Quantity Surveyor Donna Molloy and site manager Evan Montgomery.”
DS Movers was engaged to provide move consultation and relocation services for ABC Trust and the various community groups transitioning from the old school building to the new facility. Delivered in multiple phases, the project required close coordination between the relocation specialist, contractor, project owner and a diverse mix of community organisations and private companies. Each end-user needed to vacate on schedule to allow the construction team to begin demolition works without delay. Because every group had unique operational requirements and limits on downtime, many relocations were carried out outside normal working hours to ensure services continued with minimal disruption. A standout aspect of the project for DS Movers was its significance to the local community and the high level of commitment shown by the end-users to their work and services. DS Movers has worked with Connolly & Fee on previous projects and consistently finds the company professional and reliable. During the ABC Trust project, the main contractor went above and beyond by creating a new access point in the building’s façade to accommodate the installation of gym equipment. DS Movers is based in Belfast and covers projects throughout Ireland and the UK, having completed some of Northern Ireland’s largest decants in the last few years including Ulster University’s Belfast campus and the new Belfast Grand Central station for Translink.
