ISO 9001 is the world’s most recognised quality management standard, providing a framework to help organisations consistently deliver products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. “It’s a significant milestone, as it reflects not only our commitment to excellence but also the strength of our quality management system, which underpins every aspect of our operation,” says Terra Analytical asset operations manager Ian Pendle. “For our customers, this certification is an assurance that every sample processed in our lab meets the highest standards of precision, repeatability and service reliability.” Achieving this status is no easy feat. It requires an ongoing focus on quality control, continuous improvement, traceability, and a team-wide culture of accountability. Terra’s used oil analysis laboratory examines over 90,000 fluid samples a year from engines, hydraulics, and gear systems to assess wear metals, contamination, and oil condition. These insights help Terra’s customers extend their equipment’s life, reduce downtime, and optimise maintenance planning and their total cost of ownership.
