SIME AND CATERPILLAR EXECUTIVES VISIT CHRISTCHURCH’S NEW FACILITIES
Earlier this year, our Christchurch branch, distribution centre and support office teams moved from their home of five decades in Hornby to purpose-built premises in Islington. Located just three kilometres northwest of the old site, the Waterloo Business Park development provides a state-of-the-art working environment for over 300 Terra Cat and Sime Motors New Zealand employees. In celebration of this, we recently welcomed senior executives from Sime and Caterpillar to Christchurch for an official opening of the new facilities. The visiting delegation included (pictured from left) Brendon Davis, Muhammad Noor, Chris Heaton, Sam Vedhakumar, Jeffri Davidson, Pat McKenna, Mark Scott and Grant Whitelaw.
The day commenced at the shared support office, where Sime Group Chief Executive Officer Jeffri Davidson and Sime Motors Managing Director Pat McKenna delivered brief business updates to Terra and Sime Motors staff, followed by a plaque unveiling and a catered morning tea. That evening the visiting delegation returned to the new site, this time joined by Christchurch operations staff and a host of our most loyal Canterbury customers. As Dato’ Jeffri Davidson told the group, this is a significant milestone in Sime’s ongoing programme of growth and investment in New Zealand – and a great example of what can be achieved through collaboration. If you haven’t visited us yet, we look forward to welcoming you to 22 Innovation Road, Islington.
