BCC Celebrates Seventh Class of Lineworker Graduates
BCC’s most recent lineworker student graduates participated in 400 hours of instruction, earning over 16 industry-recognized certifications and CDL permits in this pre-apprenticeship program. Graduation also included the heartfelt presentation of the Colby Haithcock Memorial Scholarship to Shane Austin
Barton. This $500 scholarship is in memory of Colby, a young man who dreamed of being a lineworker. Colby’s stepfather, David Anderson, presented the award. We extend our gratitude to Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation for their unwavering support in making this course possible.
BCC Joined the Scholars of Global Distinction Program for Study Abroad Opportunities Thanks to a partnership with Scholars of Global Distinction, 24 BCC students and faculty set sail on an educational and cultural journey through Germany, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland! The Scholar of Global Distinction Program is a partnership between community colleges and UNC World View. As part of this partnership, students can earn a Global Distinction credential.
