Day of Dialogue
Brunswick Community College hosted a Day of Dialogue on March 25th, at the Virginia Williamson Event Center, organized by the BCC Chapter of the American Association of Women in Community Colleges. The event focused on discussing challenges and opportunities in diverse workplaces .
The Brunswick County Detention Center, in collaboration with BCC’s Continuing Education and Workforce Development program, offers G.E.D.® classes to inmates without a high school diploma, covering math, language arts, social studies, and science to prepare for the G.E.D.® test. Participants take an assessment to identify areas needing more focus. The program is run in partnership with the Brunswick County Literacy Council, which provides instructors and proctors for testing. Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Offers Classes for Inmates
Men’s Basketball Team Volunteers at Jessie Mae Monroe Elementary School
The Brunswick Community College Men’s Basketball traveled to Jessie Mae Monroe Elementary School in Ash to volunteer with students! Teachers, students and administrators were appreciative of the players’ help in and out of the classroom.
