FOUNDATION

The Brunswick Community College Foundation had a remarkable year in 2024-25, awarding $262,000 in curriculum scholarships and 274 academic scholarships to 205 students, with continued support for Continuing Education scholarships. The Foundation hosted several impactful events, including the record-breaking Bella Italia fundraiser, which netted $76,000, and the Donor Appreciation Luncheon, attended by 300 supporters. Other highlights included the annual Women in Philanthropy & Leadership Dinner, a successful Campus Fund Drive raising $38,314, and the allocation of $16,000 in emergency scholarships to support students in critical need. Donations played a pivotal role in the Foundation’s success, with a generous $500,000 gift from Mr. Alan Holden, $4.3 million in planned giving commitments, and contributions ranging from $10,000 for scholarships by Daniel and Linda Lynes to $35,000 from the Assistance League of Greater Wilmington.
