Dear Brunswick Community College Family,
and Business Incubator have provided entrepreneurs with invaluable resources, fostering economic growth and job creation in Brunswick County. Beyond academics, we have deepened our engagement with the community through impactful service projects such as hurricane relief efforts and poverty simulations. Our student-athletes have demonstrated excellence both on and off the field, with standout performances in baseball, basketball, and softball, reinforcing the values of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. None of these achievements would have been possible without the unwavering support of our donors, partners, faculty, staff, and students. The generosity of our community, including a historic $500,000 gift from Alan Holden and over $4.3 million in planned giving commitments, is a powerful affirmation of the value and trust placed in BCC’s mission. As we look ahead, we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing exceptional education, fostering innovation, and creating pathways to success for all who walk through our doors. Together, we will continue to build a brighter future for our students, our community, and beyond.
As we reflect on the remarkable journey of 2024, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for the incredible strides we have made together at Brunswick Community College. This year has been one of unprecedented growth, innovation, and impact, strengthening our commitment to excellence in education, workforce development, and community engagement. Our record-breaking enrollment of 2,069 students stands as a testament to our college’s dedication to accessibility and student success. The 45th Commencement Ceremony celebrated the achievements of 560 graduates who earned a combined 707 degrees, diplomas, and certificates—an extraordinary milestone that underscores the transformative power of education. Academically, we expanded our curriculum with cutting- edge programs, including a new Artificial Intelligence degree pathway, a Forensic Accounting certification, and strengthened articulation agreements with esteemed institutions such as Appalachian State University and Campbell University. Our faculty and students have excelled, earning prestigious awards and recognitions that highlight their hard work and commitment to learning. BCC continued to play a crucial role in shaping the local economy, awarding over 1,000 industry-recognized credentials and securing over $1 million in grants to expand high-demand healthcare programs, including nursing and dental assisting.
