Note from the President

D ear Members, As our region encourages and develops the next generation of professionals, career exploration will be key. Those future professionals are today’s students and providing those students an opportunity to explore the unique opportunities of multiple industries is essential to not only help them find a path that is right for them, but to showcase career paths that students may not have considered without experiencing it first-hand. In partnership with area businesses and educators, the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to provide students from throughout Southeast Minnesota an opportunity to experience careers in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math at this year’s STEAM Summit on Tuesday, November 16th at Rochester Community and Technical College. Over 1,700 middle and high school students will have an opportunity to connect with businesses and higher education in an interactive environment filled with career exploration opportunities. Students are eager for this year’s STEAM Summit and the Chamber team looks forward to showcasing area industries and the career opportunities presented by each participating business. That’s where area businesses can help. If your organization is within a STEAM field (science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math), we encourage you to join us for the 2022 STEAM Summit and to provide our future professionals an experience to explore the career opportunities in a range of industries. Becoming an exhibitor at the November 16th STEAM Summit is free and is a great opportunity to connect with area students and community. To learn more, please contact Morgan Shaw at mshaw@
