– Provide feedback on guest speakers who have delivered during the programme – Send all completed assessment paperwork by email to the Training and Consultancy Directorate within ten days of the last date of the programme For additional accreditation Instructor Training courses National Trainers are required to: – Provide a full list of all learners who attended and completed the full course session For Instructor Member Enhanced Recaps, National Trainers are required to: – Confirm with the Training and Consultancy Directorate by email when the enhanced recap has been delivered, the outcome, and any further actions required 8.6 National Trainer mentoring of Instructor- Members-In-Training Mentoring period Each Instructor-Member-In-Training on the Instructor Training Programme is assigned a National Trainer mentor until they achieve sign-off and become an approved Instructor Member. The mentor is one of the pair of National Trainers delivering the programme. The National Trainer acts as mentor for the Instructor-Member-In-Training until the Instructor-Member-In-Training achieves sign-off approval. The standard sign-off period is nine months for the Instructor Training Programme. In some instances, the National Trainer may extend the sign-off window by up to six months. Any sign-off window extensions
must be confirmed with the Training and Consultancy Directorate before being communicated to the mentee. If a National Trainer has concerns that an Instructor-Member-In-Training is unlikely to achieve sign-off after being granted an extension, this should be raised with the Training and Consultancy Directorate. Mentor requirements As part of the mentoring relationship, National Trainers are required to: – Be a source of wisdom and support to their mentee – Remain accessible throughout the mentee’s sign-off period as an Instructor- Member-In-Training – Provide each mentee with the opportunity to have at least two mentoring follow-up conversations – If the individual sign-off requirements do not require enhanced check-ins at specific points, these should ideally either follow each of the mentee’s first two co-deliveries or the first conversation should take place no later than three months after the end of the delivered days and the second conversation around the six month mark of the sign-off period. Follow-up conversations after each co-delivery should support mentees in their course delivery reflections and self-evaluation, and include discussion of any further sign-off requirements which may need to be completed. If the individual sign- off requirements do require enhanced check-ins at specific points, but the mentee has not completed any co- deliveries within three/six months, NT mentors should contact the mentee to
