you must inform the Member Experience team at MHFA England that you wish to permanently deregister as an Instructor Member by emailing instructorsupport@ mhfaengland.org Deregistration Where the membership status of an Instructor Member has been inactive/lapsed or voluntarily interrupted for more than three years, with no activity or contact from the Instructor Member during the period of inactivity/lapse/interruption, the individual will be deregistered as an Instructor Member. To rejoin as an Instructor Member again after deregistration in this particular situation, where your last full MHFA course delivery was more than three years and less than six years ago, you will be required to: – Sign the Instructor Member agreement – Pay the membership fee – Pay for and complete the National Trainer- led Instructor Member Enhanced Recap – Have a historic record of receiving a consistently high standard of feedback for MHFA course deliveries – Complete any other actions, training and/ or upskills as directed by MHFA England Instances where it has been six years or more since the last full Mental Health First Aid course delivery, you will be required to pay for and complete the full MHFA England Instructor Training Programme in order to become an Instructor Member again. 12.2 Quality assurance related suspension The membership status of an Instructor Member, Associate Instructor, or National
To reactivate membership after a period of voluntary interruption, the requirements will differ based on the length of time that has passed since your last full MHFA course delivery and quality of historic course delivery feedback available for the courses you delivered. Where there is a record available of consistent positive feedback for MHFA course deliveries prior to the period of voluntary interruption, and it has been less than 12 months since last full Mental Health First Aid course delivery, usually there will be no additional activity required to refresh knowledge and skills, unless there has been a product update. Where there is a record available of consistent positive feedback for MHFA course deliveries prior to the period of voluntary interruption and the Instructor Member’s last delivery of a full MHFA course prior to voluntary interruption was more than 12 months but less than three years ago, to reactivate membership status they will need to: – Sign the Instructor Member agreement – Pay the membership fee – Complete self-led online Instructor Member Recap (free of charge) Where historic course delivery feedback is inconsistent, you may be required to complete additional actions as directed by MHFA England, to support your journey towards restarting membership. An Instructor Member may choose to end their membership at any point during voluntary interruption. In such cases,
