Additionally, Instructor Members will also not receive Instructor Member newsletters and email communications to the Instructor Member community whilst membership status is suspended. We review suspended memberships annually. Any membership that stays suspended due to quality assurance related reasons for over nine months will be progressed to the next stage of the process, deregistration. Deregistration When a member has had their membership suspended for over nine months, the Member Experience team will attempt to contact them before deregistering their membership. This will apply to cases where there is no record of action being taken to resolve the matter and reactivate membership. Rejoining MHFA England To rejoin MHFA England as an Instructor Member further to being deregistered after a period of membership suspension due to quality assurance related issues, in all instances, the reason for the suspension must be satisfactorily resolved first. The requirements to rejoin differ based on the reason for suspension and length of time since your last full Mental Health First Aid course delivery. Less than 12 months: – Sign Instructor Member agreement – Pay membership fee (if due) To rejoin as an Instructor Member again, where your last full MHFA course delivery

was more than 12 months and less than three years ago, you will be required to: – Sign the Instructor Member agreement – Pay the membership fee – Complete the self-led online Instructor Member Recap – Have a historic record of receiving a consistently high standard of feedback for MHFA course deliveries – Complete any other actions, training and/ or upskills as directed by MHFA England To rejoin as an Instructor Member again, where your last full MHFA course delivery was more than three years and less than six years ago, you will be required to: – Sign the Instructor Member agreement – Pay the membership fee – Pay for and complete the National Trainer- led Instructor Member Enhanced Recap – Have a historic record of receiving a consistently high standard of feedback for MHFA course deliveries – Complete any other actions, training and/ or upskills as directed by MHFA England Where historic course delivery feedback is inconsistent, you may be required to complete additional actions as directed by MHFA England to support your membership reactivation journey. Where more than six years have lapsed since the last full Mental Health First Aid course delivery you will be required to pay for and attend an MHFA England Instructor Training Programme in order to become an Instructor Member again.
