OUR BEGINNINGS AND GROWTH Established in 2007, The Shanahan Group has been a consistently strong and influential leader in the local real estate market. Our company is driven by two women, Nan Shanahan and Karen Shanahan Garrett, who have deep professional and personal roots in the local area. Together, they operate a successful and strong brokerage, play an active leadership role in the community, and are always an advocate for the consumer.

Becoming a Realtor with Better Homes & Gardens - The Shanahan Group in Winchester is the perfect fit for me. Raised and educated in Winchester along with eight siblings, my love for this town and its close-knit community is now being passed along to my four children. My husband, Paul, also a Winchester native, and I are truly at home in Winchester. After graduating Holy Cross College and working as a Human Resource Manager at John Hancock Financial Services for 10 years, I'm immersed in Winchester's happenings. Having served on the Board of Directors for the Family Action Network (FAN) and a Corporator at the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, I have experience in both fundraising efforts and project management. My other interests included coaching youth soccer as well as teaching CCD at St. Mary's church. Besides working as a full time REALTOR®, I'm closely associated with Winchester's Winton Club fundraising efforts for the Winchester Hospital. I'm a big believer in giving back to a town that has brought so much enjoyment to me and my family. As an agent who's an expert in this local area, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise about buying and selling real estate here.
