About the Scholarship The J/R Ranch Scholarship was created in memory of Dave Lensegrav and his daugh- ter Kristi Birkeland—two people who lived agriculture and rodeo with grit, humility, and generous hearts. Dave and Kristi believed in showing up, working hard, helping others, and doing what needed to be done with- out needing recognition. This scholarship is meant to honor students who live those same values. This award is for high school seniors with an agricultural background who demon- strate strong work ethic, character, and a giv- ing spirit—whether their next step is college, trade school, or directly into the workforce. Scholarship Use Two $2,500 scholarships will be selected by May 15th, 2026. Award funds may be used for education, trade or certification programs, tools, or other expenses related to next steps after high school. Applications are due May 1st. Please send to:
