Keystone of 1992 Strategy

T here is no doubt that 1991 proved to be a year of historic political change and economic turmoil. The Gulf War, events in the now– defunct Soviet Union, and recession in major world markets made 1991 ayear of uncertainty. With in our industry, the intense competition , coupled with world events, continued to affect both large and small companies alike. However, against this unstable background and difficult economic cl imate, we are delighted to report that World Courier finished the year with increased revenues and profits. Whilewe should all be awareof world events and industry trends, it is more important to ensure that our service leadership is maintained. This requires constant attention and diligence. Apart from providing flawless service, we must continue to seek out and develop new business. As in 1991 , the forthcoming year presents us with very exciting opportunities in new and growing markets, particularly in the non– document area. We are well positioned to service markets requiring the highest levels of speed , flexibility, reliability and individual atten– tion. The competil:rm remains "non-competition" and our success is

simply a reflection of our single-minded commitment to "satisfying" our clients. Recently, a client wrote to us after the excellent delivery of a biomedical shipment from San Francisco to Melbourne, saying the following :

It always gets back to the same thing.. .

'Service ' is what sells service best.

Finally, it is clear that the vital factor for success in a "service" industry, and in our Company in particular, is the people . World Courier employees make the difference with their special commitment and dedication.
