WELCOME TO THE HOLIDAY BUBBLE Eventique Invites Attendees to Leave Reality Behind

the icy Ocean Life room, multi-dimensional LED walls wrapped the performance stage, swarming with custom-designed, kaleidoscopic snowflakes that seemed to dance in time with the music. The party was unforgettable, just as Eventique intended. In their team’s eyes, every holiday gathering — whether for employees, clients, or partners — is an opportunity to celebrate and make memories.

How do you encapsulate Iceland’s rugged, natural landscape and distill it into a holiday party for more than 600 guests? In 2017, Eventique rose to that challenge at the request of the technology company IPsoft (now known as Amelia). Inspired by Iceland’s volcanic peaks, majestic glaciers, and native wildlife, Eventique used the Museum of Natural History’s lobby and Ocean Life Room as canvases for a “Fire and Ice” theme. A blue whale suspended from the ceiling swam through the air above IPsoft’s employees and their spouses as they mingled, enjoyed bites from 20 different food stations, and sipped champagne from delicate flutes passed out by bartenders in fire and ice body paint. The whale cast a shadow over the blue-lit dance floor and glistening ice sculptures below. “We translated the landscape into abstract sculptures made out of real ice and brought another organic element to the decor by fabricating ice caves, which brought to mind the winter habitat of a variety of different animals,” says Eventique Vice President of Creative and Strategy Eric Wielander. “We created the ice caves through projection and dynamic video. One even served as a photo booth with a continuously changing backdrop — no two photos from the night were alike.” The event was mind-bending, and IPsoft employees immersed themselves from the moment they stepped off the vintage double-decker bus that carried them to the museum. The guests donned Victorian-inspired steampunk costumes in “Lady Sibyl’s boudoir,” then ascended to the blue-and-red-lit rooms above. In

and look to us to deliver an event that really takes them out of their element and lets them explore new parts of themselves,” Eric says. “We know holidays are stressful, so with our corporate events, we strive to create a bubble where, for a couple of hours, attendees can truly forget everything except celebrating in the moment. We want to create a transcendent experience.” In addition to IPsoft, Eventique has produced holiday events for companies like Commvault, L’Occitane, and Saudi Petroleum. In 2014, Commvault hired our team to elevate its new 278,000-square-foot company headquarters in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, for a company holiday bash. “That holiday party was one of the first opportunities the Commvault team had to enjoy the new home recently built for them,” says Eventique founder Liron David. “We took advantage
