DESCRIPTION GF combined four existing, vacant suites on the ground floor of 4035 Ridge Top Road in Fairfax, VA into a single, large suite for Rising Stars Daycare. A separate entrance was built on the rear of the building to serve as the primary entrance for the new space to improve ease for drop-off and pick-up of the children. The designers worked with Rising Stars to develop new branding standards for the space, including various colors for wayfinding and classroom delineation and new logo wall graphic for branding. The space includes five classrooms for five different age groups, from infant to 5 years of age, each with child ADA-compliant restrooms and cubbies for organization. Each classroom has an activation corner with a designated color that adds visual interest to the space and assists with the separation of activities. The space also has a private office and meeting room to facilitate staff meetings with parents, and a new adult ADA-compliant restroom with shower. A kitchen with industrial-grade equipment was created to enable meal preparation for each classroom.
