Consider new partnership opportunities between FSCJ North, Baptist Health, JTA, and other city partners to work with community members on community needs relative to home ownership and job access.
Re-image TOD Plans for the Dunn Avenue and Armsdale Park-n-Ride to create joint development opportunities that further catalyze TOD patterns of development on surrounding parcels that will improve transportation options and overall livability in these areas.
Enable all types of housing through redevelopment and infill of commercial areas to include small lot single family townhomes, multifamily ownership, and rental opportunities.
Specific improvements of Capper Road and Dunn Avenue intersections include more visible crosswalks, upgraded bus shelters, signage, and lighting to improve pedestrian safety.
Consider investing in conversion of underutilized and vacant commercial at Dunn Avenue, Jacksonville Regional Mall, and Capper Road to help catalyze larger scale redevelopment into mixed-use TOD community centers.
Consider repositioning of Armsdale Park-n-Ride for major redevelopment opportunity with JTA related jobs, uses, and potential for workforce housing.
Expand last mile transit options to the Airport industrial cluster.
Encourage strategic public purchase of land adjacent to Armsdale supporting creation of new Park-n-Ride hub to further catalyze redevelopment of under performing commercial properties.
Improve and maintain ecological services and natural areas to address environmental sustainability, support stormwater management, climate resiliency goals, and ecological functionality associated with the Trout River watershed.
Upgrading facilities and operations at Garden City public park.
