Transformation Strategies: Capper-Armsdale - Armsdale Park-n-Ride $

The following pages show visualizations of how the Armsdale Park-n-Ride stations could transform over time into more TOD-like patterns. These are for illustrative purposes only to inspire and demonstrate how the evolution of suburban patterns into station area activity nodes could occur over time.

Long Term Transformation Concepts

PHASE 1: JTA land repositioned through Joint Development or other public-private partnership efforts to develop workforce/market rate housing, structured parking, and small-scale office and retail.

→ Solicit development proposals for JTA owned property available at the Green Line Park-n-Ride.

Big Idea: Transform Armsdale to Town Center & Intermodal Hub STATION AREA GOALS

→ Leverage JTA land for public-private partnership development of workforce/market rate housing with office and retail. → Strategic land acquisition of under performing retail adjacent to JTA properties. → Build market rate higher density housing with mixture of single family, townhomes, and 4-story multi-family residential on open opportunity sites.

→ Establish new curvilinear grid-street pattern with two major intersections with Lem Turner. → Better connect existing residential and retail with walking and biking trails tied into improved green and blue infrastructure. → Longer term infill of big box parking areas and redevelopment into town center style retail.
