ATTRACTORS & NEIGHBORHOOD ACCESS
SIDEWALKS
Within a half mile of the SR 312 Station Area, the existing land uses are predominantly suburban strip development with some commercial/industrial. There are significant PUD uses as well as varied commercial uses. PUD is the greatest land use within the area, located on the east and west side of the FCCR. Secondary to PUD is Industrial Warehouse, Commercial Intensive, and Commercial Warehouse uses. MAJOR CORRIDORS & CONNECTIONS SR 312 is a major east-west connection through the station area, with a grade separation to cross over the FEC rail corridor to connect the historic Downtown St. Augustine to the east and SR 207 to the west. North- south connections through the station area include SR 207 west of the FEC corridor, and Old Moultrie Road located east of the FEC corridor. In the northern portion of the station area, the FEC rail corridor has an at-grade crossing across SR 207. TRANSIT The Sunshine Bus Company operates public transit in St. Johns County. Within this station area, the Orange Line, Teal Line, and Blue Line travel through this station area. The Orange Line connects West St. Augustine, US 1/SR 312 and SR A1A/SR 312 areas. The Teal Line connects portions of US 1 and SR 312 (where the route begins and ends) in St. Augustine with areas along SR 207, Elkton, Hastings and Flagler Estates. The Blue Line connects US 1 and SR 312 to portions of Downtown St. Augustine. Several of the transit routes connect to the intersection just north of US 1 and SR 312 at the Seabridge Square shopping plaza. While there are no designated park-and-ride locations identified, there are several large surface parking lots within this station area.
There is not a significant sidewalk network within this station area. There are sidewalks located along Old Moultrie Road on the eastern side of the station area and along SR 207 on the western side of the station area. There are no planned sidewalks identified within the station area boundaries. BIKE LANES & REGIONAL TRAILS There are no regional trails located within this station area. Bike lanes are located along SR 312 and SR 207. OPPORTUNITIES FOR CONNECTIVITY There is very little multimodal connectivity for pedestrians, bikes and micromobility within this station area, however there are areas for a potential park- n-ride. The grade separation along SR 312 would be challenging to enhance that connectivity to a potential station area. The SR 312 Station Area does have characteristics of an origin station and opportunities exist for formal and informal park-n-rides, and the station location is in close proximity to several transit routes.
