COMPLETE STREET STRATEGY

The following images illustrate Complete Streets strategies recommended for this area. Complete Streets is a policy and design approach that promotes an all-inclusive street supporting safe, convenient access ad mobility for all travelers for all modes of transportation. This includes pedestrians, cyclists, and users of vehicles and public transportation, of all ages

and abilities. Complete Streets are comprised of various design elements by which different travel modes can be safely and efficiently integrated. Each of the sections illustrated in the following figures highlights different street components compliant with this approach and suited specifically for this station area. Figure 5-69 depicts a section for a new main street through the

station area with vehicle travel lanes, parking, bike lanes, and sidewalks located for each direction of travel. Figure 5-70 presents a section of a pedestrian promenade with adjacent sidewalks situated alongside multi-story retail, commercial and office buildings. The section in Figure 5-71 presents a new residential street design with a prominent tree-lined multi-use

trail, with parking, shared use lanes for vehicle travel, and wide sidewalks on both sides of the street adjacent to multifamily and single-family residential structures. Figure 5-72 provides a plan view of the station area depicting the section locations.
