Sec�on Four: Community Workshops #2 The second set of community workshops was conducted through the more tradi�onal, in-person format on consecu�ve days in August 2023 . The first workshop, held on August 8 at the Jacksonville Regional Transporta�on Center (JRTC), focused on the Duval County proposed sta�on loca�ons. The second workshop, held on August 9 at the City Council Commission room at City Hall in the City of St. Augus�ne, focused on the proposed sta�ons in St. Johns County. No�fica�ons were distributed to the project’s database of stakeholders via email. The p ublic mee�ngs were also no�ced on the project website and through social media. The workshops included an overview presenta�on that provided proposed sta�on area concepts, as well as examples from TOD across the country. Example graphic display boards were also available for review and discussion with project team members. During these workshops, the project team presented the sta�on classifica�ons, poten�al modifica�ons to circula�on and road networks, open space networks, and the mix of land uses at the proposed sta�ons. Atendees were invited to ask ques�ons and provide feedback. All par�cipants were asked to link to a posted QR code to connect to the online survey. Before the Community Workshop, members of the Stakeholder Advisory Group convened for a brief mee�ng to review the presenta�on and materials. Nine co mments were received from the eight par�cipants .
There were 41 par�cipants registered at the Duval County community workshop and 12 comments were collected during the workshop. In St. Johns County, 25 par�cipants signed in at the community workshop held in St. Augus�ne , and 21 comments were received. A majority of par�cipants were in support of a proposed commuter rail, specifically in St. Johns County. Addi�onal materials from the workshops are contained in Atachment F.
