3.2 Tools for Study Promotion 3.2.1 Project Website
The Project Team will develop and maintain a website for the First Coast Commuter Rail Project as a supplemental means to inform the public and to receive public input. It will provide the opportunity for community members who are unable to attend workshops or participate in working groups to be part of the project process. The website will be accessible via computer or mobile device. The project website will include the following: Project information and updates Educational videos Interactive map Virtual reality demonstrations and renderings Project documents and reports
Meeting and public participation announcements Surveys and other opportunities to provide feedback Contact list sign-up to receive updates and meeting invitations
The project website will be updated at key study milestones and promoted through the stakeholder database, JTA transit shelter/property and partner locations, social/traditional media outreach, as well as at JTA and community events. 3.2.2 Social Media Social media will be used throughout the study to provide educational information, study updates, event notices and opportunities to provide input. The engagement team will provide study photography, video clips, graphics, and content to JTA Communications and Marketing Team for use in social media channels and in support of media outreach and coverage. The hashtag # (TBD) will be used to make it easy for the public to find and engage with posts. JTA will identify related organizations, such as local municipalities and/or community groups and request their participation in sharing the FCCR social media posts to increase reach as all targeted audiences may not follow FCCR. 3.2.3 Media Outreach Media releases will be used at each engagement phase to promote project updates and encourage public participation. JTA will use their standard media distribution list. JTA will respond to media inquiries about FCCR and provide content for media use. 3.2.4 E-blasts Email blasts give subscribers personal updates as well as personal invitations to any project events. This tool is an efficient way to reach those who are already aware of the project and are eager to hear more. In order to receive an email, the citizen must already be subscribed. These
