FCCR: Transit-Oriented Development Study

FIRST COAST COMMUTER RAIL TRANSIT-ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT (TOD) STUDY – WORKSHOP 1 COMMENT SUMMARY

February 28th 2023, 6:49 pm • As some of the previous comments, I would like to encourage a systems approach to support a broader public transportation system in Florida - linking to other public systems both public and private (Brightline) Also, it does not appear that there is stop between Palencia and King Street. There are two master planned communities between the two stations that could benefit from the commuter rail. February 28th 2023, 6:44 pm • I had hoped for more information about the plans for all the St Augustine Stations -- my particular interest is in relation to the SR 312 station as well as King st

February 28th 2023, 6:44 pm • How can we help?

February 28th 2023, 6:43 pm • Would St. Augustine / St. Johns develop their own last mile connection to the historic downtown area?

February 28th 2023, 6:39 pm • This will only work if you force developers to make multi modal connections starting TODAY... Beachwalk has not built any trail or sidewalk to connect to US1. The avenues walk area has no sidewalk whatsoever on Southside Blvd. Nocatee has an entire highway yet no trail or path that runs along US1. There is not enough pedestrian connectivity anywhere except downtown JAX and King St February 28th 2023, 6:38 pm • Have there been discussions with the Florida East Coast Railroad regarding how First Coast Rail would dovetail with their operations?

February 28th 2023, 6:35 pm • Will the train crossings be at-grade or raised?

February 28th 2023, 6:34 pm • Would like to see a station at the park-n-ride at JTB and Phillips Hwy. with a bus connection going out JTB to Jacksonville Beach serving intermediate stops at Gateway, Kernan, Hodges, and San Pablo.
