FCCR: Transit-Oriented Development Study

FIRST COAST COMMUTER RAIL TRANSIT-ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT (TOD) STUDY – WORKSHOP 2 COMMENT SUMMARY  I love the features, complete streets, water, trails, but this development around this station especially needs more height! Go taller with the possibilities. Also consider including/rebuilding historic frontage on these buildings, it would be an attempt at bringing back all that was lost during "Urban Renewal". As-well as being another feature/draw/attraction to this development.

 Ugly project that should not be built

 The examples are the right density, scale, and the right pedestrian and bicycle or micro transit friendliness. In this age of Amazon and Wal Mart.com, the future of brick and mortar retail except bars and restaurants and medical services is gravely in doubt. "Keep it local" may be crying in the wilderness. And with Work from Anywhere......office space may be set for a crash. However.....people still have to

live somewhere and yes park their cars somewhere.  Spend the money to fix Philips highway traffic!

 Drawings don’t show Prime Osborne as it looks now. Skyway has bot been a success. This doesn’t look like a part of town most people want to go to. No transportation service to the Jax airport which is what it really needed if this is to become well used.

Please share your thoughts about the proposed Baymeadows framework.  Looks great

 Overly ambitious.

 No train.

 I love the redevelopment, (not so much the surface parking, structures would be preferred) the added public space, density. I get that nearly all of the surrounding area is privately owned, but I think if this study could recommend zoning changes to the immediate and greater area around the station sites, it would still benefit JTA, COJ, and private developers. As well as including the new grid/ideas for the future across the railroad tracks and US-1, there are a lot of large plots of land/warehouses/stri p- malls, ripe for increased density/redevelopment, all while benefiting all parties included in this. Dont limit yourself to just one side of the tracks. Also, even though the JTA will likely try and see the dollar signs in this for their own potential, have the recomendations for the city to make changes to
