FIRST COAST COMMUTER RAIL TRANSIT-ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT (TOD) STUDY – WORKSHOP 2 COMMENT SUMMARY
There needs to be pedestrian bridge to cross from the West side of Phillips Highway to the Avenues walk. It would tie in the west side of the Phillips homes to allow for walking.
A pedestrian bridge closer to the Ford dealership
Ugly project that should not be built
So much office space for the future....these days it seems like an antiquated 20th century setting.
Spend the money to fix Philips highway traffic!
We need lots of shade and depending on temperatures, misting stations.
What comments do you have about the proposed Avenues Walk examples?
The residential part should look similar to Domain in West Hollywood, CA. The public realm should look similar to midtown caramel in Indianapolis, IN
No train.
Let's get this done
Refer to comments above as to why.
Small addition, once again, aside from JRTC this would be the other station you might be able to get away with added height, more density, and more intense development. (All that = bigger payout.) This station does not at this time have all the same constraints as the other ones do. It has the land to fit whatever you could need, a lot of underused infrastructure, a huge functioning mall, low to no residential around it, an existing transit station, and nothing exactly or really worth Nimby's to cry over. The potential for dense, non-car dependent development around this station is huge. With changes to your study it could happen.
Ugly project that should not be built
I suppose in the future a lot of that office space can become more housing.
