Looks good for the area
Bus line extensions from the terminal are needed. Plus additional off-site parking with a shuttle bus. Enhanced public transportation is badly needed in St Johns County. A functioning bus system will be needed to complement rail. The current rudimentary Sunshine bus system is an embarrassment.
Would be a great benefit for that part of the county.
No real need for transportation from St Aug to Jax...... This idea is about additional development Your plan for SR 312 works, but I would wager moving the King St. park and ride to the 312 location and tell them folks to take the train to King st. Then really go all in on development on King St. 312 and US-1 are more vehicle oriented, and to me are a better fit for large garages. Whereas with King street there are height limits, the cities age/fact it was not built for cars yet we cram them in, and the King/US -1 intersection. As for only 312, the plot sizes are large enough that redevelopment can definitely push to go bigger in area, density, and scale. Just all around, across the tracks, SR 312, SR 207, Dobbs. Larger parking garages to satisfy the driving public, and residents of St. Augustine. For SR 312 it is a station area and development zone that I see a lot of potential, but would take a much larger plan. Yes, a thousand times yes. Particular to King Street, that is the oldest street in the United States. And where King St. meets U.S. #1...the oldest highway....at Broudy Liquors.....that spot is particularly inhumane and deadly dangerous to pedestrians and bicycles. The only pedestrians brave enough are the unhoused Americans. Please God...re-imagine these stretches of US #1 to calm the dang motor traffic. And make King St. the most pedestrian friendly street in the Ancient City.
