FCCR: Transit-Oriented Development Study

Jacksonville Transportation Authority (FL) - Report Creation

The examples are the right density, scale, and the right pedestrian and bicycle or micro transit friendliness. In this age of Amazon and Wal Mart.com, the future of brick and mortar retail except bars and restaurants and medical services is gravely in doubt. "Keep it local" may be crying in the wilderness. And with Work from Anywhere......office space may be set for a crash. However.....people still have to live somewhere and yes park their cars somewhere.

Ugly project that should not be built

I love the features, complete streets, water, trails, but this development around this station especially needs more height! Go taller with the possibilities.

Also consider including/rebuilding historic frontage on these buildings, it would be an attempt at bringing back all that was lost during "Urban Renewal". As-well as being another feature/draw/attraction to this development.

I think those improvements would help bring young professionals downtown.

Good idea

None of the examples really fit Jax. I think expanded art- cultural and green space would be more in tune with the historical background of the area.

Residential only

Not enough residents to support this monstrosity.

The mixed use center should be similar to the one in Denver. Because I don’t think we need more office space in these post-pandemic times we’re in. The residential part of the station. Should be similar to the one in Dallas. With things to do outside your residence. And the public realm should be similar to the one in El Paso. To make the station more walkable.
