TAMSIN’S Message

02

Well-being is central to me. Our mind, body, and social health are key to performing well and being ourselves at work.

I know firsthand how important it is to stay well and do what is required. That is why I stay at Mars—I have always had the flexibility and support to stay well while also performing my job to the best of my ability. Please join the Vitality movement in 2026! As you can see, we are incredibly fortunate to have these opportunities, so be sure to take the time to participate.

The success of our wellness initiative hinges on our team’s dedication to shared ownership. The core crew committed significant time and creative energy to meticulously select a unique, engaging well-being theme for each month. To ensure high engagement and build leadership skills, the team adopted a "one-string team" approach: ownership of a specific monthly initiative rotates among the members. This structure allows every individual an opportunity to lead, champion a topic they are passionate about, and grow their organizational skills. While one person steps into the lead role for the month, the entire crew works as a supportive unit, coordinating efforts, managing communication, and creating a strong culture of support. This shared ownership model prevents burnout, fosters a true sense of community, and ensures that every initiative is met with collective enthusiasm and active support from all teammates.

03

JANUARY

It all started with a crew who were passionate about centering wellness for the entire team. Brainstorming how to make wellbeing initiatives more engaging and fun, the team decided to launch a gamified program. This initiative involves monthly wellness themes, interesting activities, and a year-long points tracking system. The core idea is to inspire widespread participation, foster a spirit of friendly competition, and celebrate our most dedicated 'wellness champions' at the end of the year.

FEBRUARY

04

52

LOVE LETTERS DELIVERED!

Aptly themed around connection for February, our initiative invited everyone to share a note of appreciation with any colleague. The Vitality Crew played Cupid, transforming these messages into nicely presented "love letters." The response was truly overwhelming: 52 notes of affection were delivered, each one offering a "warm hug" to the recipient. The team was heartened by encouraging feedback, with many colleagues reaching out to say, "You have made many people's day today.”

05

MARCH THE UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE OF MUSIC

For our March initiative, we tuned into the universal language of music! The task was simple yet profound: curate a playlist by submitting a single track under each of three themes: Fresh Energy, Focus Mindset, and Reset. This vibrant, globally diverse playlist, born from enthusiastic participation, is still a cherished go- to soundtrack for many, proving the powerful, universal impact of shared music..

APRIL

06

MINDFULNESS & PRESENCE 5 THINGS YOU CAN SEE In April, our focus shifted to introducing a vital tool for

grounding: the 5-4-3-2-1 exercise. This simple yet powerful technique guides us to reconnect with our surroundings. To embed this practice into our routine, the team blocked a dedicated 30-minute session every Thursday for a guided grounding exercise.

THINGS YOU CAN TOUCH 4 THINGS YOU CAN HEAR 3 THINGS YOU CAN SMELL 2 THING YOU CAN TASTE 1

“ During my Sunday walk, I sat under a tree, sipped my lemon water, and turned my face to the sun... I saw people on bicycles, green fields, white clouds, blue sky, countless yellow wildflowers, and horses. I felt the sun on my nose, my hair dancing on the wind, the ground beneath me, my comfortable clothes, and a little violet flower in my hand. I heard the wind, birds singing, and the church bell. I smelled the fresh air, green grass, and violet flowers. Finally, I tasted the water lemon.” This story, one of many we received, beautifully illustrates how the simple act of intentional presence can transform an everyday moment into an enriching sensory experience. The April initiative successfully equipped the team with a tangible tool to find calm and presence in their daily lives.

MAY Community

07

For May, we focused on the power of Community, recognizing how belonging and mutual support are vital for good mental health.

Together WE’RE strong

We launched three initiatives aimed at strengthening connection and action: 1. Wear a Bright Color: A cheerful visual 2. Help Someone: Encouraging acts of kindness 3. Tidy Up Your Mind: Linking outward action to inner calm Simple actions and shared connections make us a stronger, boosting our community is boosting our well-being.

JUNE

PHYSICAL FITNESS For June, we launched a challenge designed not just to encourage movement, but to inject fun, variety, and teamwork into our fitness routines. The goal is simple: inspire consistent activity and recognize every effort made. Document any physical activity Find a fitness buddy to work out with 08

JULY

Best Rests

This initiative isn ’ t about running faster or working harder; it ’ s about sharing favorite, most effective ways to truly switch off and recover.

I love just sitting down looking at my horses in the field when all the work is done and the sun is going down. My dogs are playing in one of the other fields and the rest of the world just gets quiet for me. A good glass of wine makes it even better. I try to make this a daily routine when the weather allows it. -Sarah Ryngaert, Senior Talent Acquisition Partner Sharing Pizza with my friend Jenny - Together it tastes better, and the calories don’t count. Reading books in the nature for example on the beach. Ridding the bicycle, along the seashore is very relaxing. Walking in the forest. Klaudia Dudarz, Talent Acquisition Partner

Self-Discovery AUGUST

10

After a busy half-year of tracking points and chasing goals, the Vitality Crew recognized that August, nestled right in the middle of the summer, was the perfect time for a well-deserved "reset." We intentionally shifted focus away from competition, to offer the gift of a pause.

The August initiative was all about Self-Discovery. We shared guidance on how team members could use their quality time with family, their quiet moments alone, or their time off the grid to simply be. We encouraged everyone to look inward, reflect, and indulge in the simple act of exploring their own thoughts and passions.

After all, as the saying goes, isn't self-discovery the true start of many great learnings?

SEPTEMBER

11

Gratitude

For September, we focused inward once more, nurturing our collective well-being through the simple yet powerful act of GRATITUDE . Our initiative was designed to transform everyday appreciation into a visible, flowing energy across the team. We encouraged everyone to document and share their personal moments of thanks. The magic happened when we introduced the " Gratitude Chain ": an invitation to not just feel grateful, but to actively pass that thanks along, creating a continuous loop of positive affirmation. The response confirmed a profound truth: Joy and love grow exponentially with every expression of gratitude.

Bingo Challenge OCTOBER

As the autumn leaves began to fall, we decided to shake things up with a bit of playful strategy. For October, the Vitality Crew launched The Wellness Bingo Challenge, turning healthy habits into a high-stakes (and high-fun!) game of skill and luck. We designed a custom Bingo grid packed with a mix of creative and wellness-focused tasks—ranging from "Trying a seasonal drink" to "Learning a new skill." The challenge was engaging and addictive.

12

13

As the year began to wind down, our November initiative shifted toward Growth and Renewal. We believe that just as nature prepares for a new season, we too can cultivate fresh ideas and personal development. We opened the floor, encouraging everyone to share their unique perspectives. As usual, the team delivered responses that were both wholesome and deeply refreshing.

DECEMBER

14

The calendar turns its final page, To a season of joy on a festive stage. From February’s letters and March’s song, To April’s presence, steady and strong.

Merry Christmas Happy New Year 2026 To every champion who joined the line, Your spirit is what made this year shine. In November, we planted the seeds to grow, And now, in December, we bask in the glow. Through May’s bright colors and June’s swift pace, In July we found a restful space. August’s quiet soul-search, September’s thanks, October’s games throughout the ranks.

With gratitude and wellness, The Vitality Crew

“Your well-being is our passion. Thank you for making 2025 a year of growth, connection, and joy. We can’t wait to see what we achieve together in 2026!”
