SPIRIT, MIND, AND BODY Cynthia’s 3 Pillars of a Fulfilling Life

Spirit, mind, and body — that’s Cynthia’s motto. “That’s my lifestyle, that’s me,” Cynthia says. Cynthia moved to Jacksonville from New York two years ago, following a job transfer. A mother of two daughters and grandmother to two granddaughters, she thrives on staying active, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors. Her relationship with Adam and Wolf Retirement Navigation began in 2014 after he handled her tax filings, and the rest is history! She focuses on her spirit, mind, and body with everything she does. To nourish her spirit, she attends church daily and serves as a lector. To stimulate her mind, she keeps intellectually engaged. She’s an avid reader; works part time at her local main library; volunteers with AARP; and is active in Toastmasters, a global organization that

helps people improve their communication and leadership skills. For her physical well- being, she prioritizes nutrition and fitness. Cynthia is a member of the YMCA and regularly participates in various fitness classes, sometimes starting as early as 5:30 a.m.! Cynthia is also a caregiver for one of her granddaughters, which keeps her heart and body active and happy! It’s impressive to hear just how much Cynthia squeezes into a day. But for her, it’s the norm. “It’s just spirit, mind, and body — I live and breathe it,” she tells us. “When I retired in 2017, this is when my approach to life really took off. I was able to do things in my own time.” Cynthia urges everyone to find things they are passionate about and learn to prioritize them. “I prioritize my spirit, which keeps me going day in and day out.

For my mind, I’m an optimistic person. There’s always something that can be done to change a situation; you just have to put your mind to it. For body, it’s about not letting something physically hold me back,” she says. Cynthia’s outlook on life is contagious. She encourages everyone she meets to do their best and believes that if we make up our minds and set out to accomplish something with a positive heart, we can accomplish anything!
