Our Biennial and Spring Perennial assortment has a proven track record which we continue to strengthen and prepare it further for the future

Speaking about the future brings us as well to our new Pol- linator concept. In recent years, pollinators have been thre- atened by a combination of factors, among which habitat loss and urbanization have played an important part. It’s time to take action! One way to help increase the pollinator richness in urban areas is planting pollinator attracting species and varieties in gardens and public spaces. Our assortment has been carefully tested by an independent trialing station on their attractiveness to pollinating insects. The Syngenta Flowers pollinator friendly varieties are marked with a bee icon to easily identify them. Another outstanding introduction in our assortment are the Deltini Trio mixes. We have already tested a lot of different combinations in the past few years and we are happy to

introduce them now within one plug. We have with Delti- ni such a good genetic that we can guarantee 100% Trio young plants. The uniformity in growth and flowering time is first in class. Next to our novelties in Biennials we have also interesting new varieties in the Spring Perennial range. We want to hig- hlight our new Goldiphlox which should get your attention. Two till three weeks earlier then traditional varieties it is very early and rich flowering. We hope you will be inspired by both our Biennials and Spring Perennials program and know that we are here to support you in a successful growing season!

SHELF L I FE TEST AT FLOWERWATCH, ROELOFARENDSVEEN(NL ) Within the small-flowered Viola market segment, the real game-changer when it comes to shelf life, is the Deltini series. Besides the fact that the series meets all grower requirements, it also outperforms every other series on the shop floor. We tested our Deltini series in cooperation with FlowerWatch, by comparing it to other series available on the market. The shelf life test included a 2-day transport simulation and a 12-day shelf life test in a retail environment. All plants came

SHELF L I FE TEST AT FLOWERWATCH, ROELOFARENDSVEEN(NL ) This large flowered Pansy series has earned its strong market position because it fulfils grower and retailer needs best. The uniformity and plant habit are unmatched! If you are looking for a series with a short production cycle and the best shelf life on the market, it is the perfect solution. In cooperation with FlowerWatch, we tested our Delta series and compared it to other series available on the market. The shelf life test included a 2-day transport simulation and

a 12-day shelf life test in a retail environment. All plants came from the same source and were treated the same. FlowerWatch used cameras and physical inspection to monitor the plants. In the report, FlowerWatch confirms that 12 of the 16 tested Delta colours are ‘clearly better’ and the remaining four are ‘slightly better or equal to’ the other tested varieties. Delta for a longer sales period, less wastage and thus greater efficiency!

That is why we also carried out extensive trials on Delta for garden performance at our trial field in the Netherlands. Over a period of 9 weeks Delta was tested against other varieties available on the market. This test clearly showed that, due to its genetic performance, Delta has the highest potential success rate in the consumer gardens.
