Schooling from Home Writers Workshop Everyone has a story to share with the world! Learn about the writing process, get some tips and insights, and learn how to use your very own writer's notebook. This class is intended for students schooling from home, Mondays, January 22, 29 and February 5, from 2 to 3 PM in the 1st Floor Meeting Room. Registration is required. For ages 10-18. Cooking on a Budget Join Lisa Turpin, nutritional specialist from the Idaho Foodbank, for this two part program that will introduce you to tools for making better nutritional choices when shopping and making affordable meals. With hands-on cooking activities, this series is intended for a caregiver and their child age 10 and up Thursdays, January 18 and 25 from 4 to 6 PM in the Makery. Registration is required. Wacky Wint er Wednesday New Year s Celebr at ion Looking for something fun to do over winter break?On Wacky Wednesday, December 27 from 1 to 3 PM, kiddos can celebrate the incoming new year with crafts, games, toys, virtual reality and snacks in the Event Space! Children ages 9 and under must be accompanied by a caregiver that is at least 15 years of age. Drop in and enjoy the afternoon making Valentine's Day cards and crafts Saturday, February 10 from 2 to 4 PM in the Makery. Supervision is required for children 9 and under. Valentine's Day Craft & Card Making Create a lovely holiday wreath with us using a variety of materials provided by the library Saturday, December 9 from 11 AM until 12:30 PM in the Makery. Registration is required. For ages 10 and up. Genr e Quest Collect unique buttons by challenging yourself to read a different genre each month. December's genre challenge is Graphic Novels or Manga. January's genre challenge is Classics or Literary. February's genre challenge is Romance or Historical Fiction.
